The coronavirus pandemic could prevent Peruvian star Leyva from playing her second consecutive season in the jersey of PTT.
As reported by Melhor do Vôlei, who cited sources from the player’s home country, the Ankara team is likely to decide not to wait any longer for Leyva, who’s still unable to leave the country due to the restrictions imposed by the health authorities. So, PTT will opt for the termination of the contract with a two-time South American Championship Best Outside Hitter.
Leyva currently has an agreement with the five-time Peruvian champions Universidad de San Martín de Porres, which will be automatically terminated in the event she receives offers from European teams.
