The competition was joined by 6 teams and on the final day Turkey could complete their run with an impeccable record of 5 wins in as many matches after besting hosts Romania 3:1 (25-16, 25-21, 16-25, and 25-14). This result dropped Romania’s win/loss record to 3:2 and the local heroines had to be content with bronze as on that same day Serbia routed Bosnia and Herzegovina in straight sets (25-16, 25-15, and 25-18) to claim silver. In the remaining game on schedule for the last day of the tournament Bulgaria bested Albania 3:0 (25-6, 25-16, and 25-11) to settle for fourth in the final standing of the competition.
