Details of the offer that Fenerbahçe Opet prepared for the best female volleyball player in Europe are coming to the surface.
With the headline “The Turkish (millionaire) assault on Paola Egonu”, Gian Luca Pasini added some details to his revelation that Turkish giants Fenerbahçe Opet and VakıfBank are running against each other in hiring the MVP of the 2021 EuroVolley. In his blog, he wrote that the official offer of either of the clubs will be postponed to the end of the year, i.e. after the conclusion of the FIVB Club World Championship which is being played exactly in Turkey in mid-December.
While Pasini is certain that there will be two mega offers for the Italian opposite hitter in view of the next season, he found out the amount Fenerbahçe want to put into the contract with Egonu – it is a four-year deal worth six million euros, which would make the current member of Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley Conegliano the highest-paid player in world volleyball ever.
