In a thrilling showdown at the TVF Cengiz Göllü Volleyball Hall, Halkbank emerged victorious in the 2024 Men’s AXA Sigorta Cup, defeating Arkas Spor with a 3-1 victory. The intense match concluded with set scores of 23-25, 25-23, 28-26, and 25-23, propelling Halkbank to championship glory.
Leading the charge for Halkbank was Nimir Abdel-Aziz, who delivered an outstanding performance to be named the match’s top scorer and MVP. Abdel-Aziz racked up 30 points, achieving an incredible 71% attack success rate, complemented by 1 block and 1 ace. Earwin Ngapeth also made a significant contribution with 16 points.
On the Arkas Spor side, Efe Mandiraci stood out with 22 points, while Burutay Subasi and Gyorgy Grozer each added 19 points to their team’s effort. Despite their valiant performance, Arkas Spor fell short of securing the cup, making way for Halkbank’s triumphant celebration in Bursa.
