Amazing volleyball night in Istanbul! In front of the packed stands, Galatasaray prevailed over Dinamo Krasnodar after an epic battle in the 1st leg of the CEV Cup Finals! The home side were in the lead twice, but the visitors kept returning to this match, so the two sides went into the tie-break!
There, Krasnodar crew were ahead by 11:9, but the Lionesses from Istanbul made a late comeback and won the 5th set by 15:13!
The MVP of the game was without any doubt Nadia Centoni! The Italian international was simply unstoppable this evening, as she scored 30 points for Galatasaray!
The rematch in Krasnodar is scheduled for April 2.

It was a big fight. We won but I admit that Krasnodar played smarter. They saved energy and played just 3 sets. They have deeper roster and changed the pace. We need to play smarter in Krasnodar. One word about Kosheleva. She did not play bu she was around statisticians. She just provoked the crowd. I admire her volleyball. She is a real star player but she is nowhere near sportmanship. Elite player acts as a elite man or woman. She acted like a big baby. Shame on her…
