TUR: Galatasaray joins forces with Champion

Galatasaray Sports Club recently finalized a sponsorship agreement with Champion Turkey via a signing ceremony held at Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex Türk Telekom Arena. Read the latest news from volleyball world on worldofvolley.com.

At the signing ceremony that was attended by Galatasaray Sports Club President Ünal Aysal, Champion Europe President Sauro Mambrini, Galatasaray SK CEO Lütfi Arıboğan and Champion Turkey Board Chairman Dimitris Matemtzis, the cooperation between two institutions having a long and very successful history was officially announced. 

Galatasaray SK President Ünal Aysal stated about the agreement: “It is our great pleasure to have this cooperation with Champion, one of the major leaders in the field of sportswear. We are also glad to be their strategic partner in the Turkish market, where Champion has opted to have an exclusive alliance with our club. To have such powerful player with us, along our players who are going through various important processes, strengthens us. I’d like to welcome Champion, in the name of Galatasaray family”. 

Taking the floor after President Ünal Aysal, Champion Europe President Sauro Mambrini said: “As Champion, we are glad about our strategic partnership with Galatasaray Sports Club. Looking at the historical progress of both brands, we observe a development tracing back to the early 1900’s – both rose from modest starts and reached their goals with passion, desire and commitment”. 

Informing participants at the press conference that was joined also by Galatasaray SK Vice President Adnan Öztürk, Volleyball Responsible Mehmet Cibara, Galatasaray Daikin Women’s Volleyball Team Head Coach Massimo Barbolini, Galatasaray Men’s Volleyball Team Head Coach Dragan Nesic and players, Galatasaray CEO Lütfi Arıboğan stated that the cooperation between Galatasaray SK and Champion Turkey includes both the Volleyball and Basketball divisions and that it will last until 2015.
