Salt Lake 3, Omaha 2 (24-26, 31-33, 25-19, 25-15, 15-11)
In the night’s first showdown, Salt Lake rallied from a two-set deficit to pull off a reverse sweep over LOVB Omaha. Outside hitter Roni Jones-Perry led the charge with 28 points, including 22 kills and four aces—tying a league record. The win pushed Salt Lake’s record to 6-8, keeping their playoff hopes alive.
Madison 3, Austin 2 (22-25, 25-23, 25-12, 23-25, 15-11)
In the late match, LOVB Madison edged out LOVB Austin in another thrilling five-setter to claim their sixth straight win and move to 7-7 on the season. Annie Drews Schumacher stole the spotlight with a record-breaking 28 kills, surpassing her own league-best. After falling behind early in the fifth, Madison stormed back with a 7-1 run and sealed the match by taking five of the final six points.
The regular season wraps up this week, beginning Thursday, April 3, in Omaha. Salt Lake will host the final weekend of the regular season with key playoff positions still up for grabs.
