The head coach of the U.S. national team John Speraw didn’t hide his disappointment after the loss vs. Canada.

It was a very difficult match and I am disappointed. It was not a surprise to me the way Canada played since they have a good program and I expected a real fight. I don’t think we played well from the service line and had a lot of issues in our side of the net but Canada was better than us,” admits Speraw.

Of course we are happy for this win. It has been a long summer for us of work, work and work. In the World League we faced some good teams. We just keep going trying to prepare well. USA didn’t play well today and we need to think on what is coming and learn from this,” says Glenn Hoag, coach of Canada.

I do hope that at least after OG, volleyball matches could be published on You Tube. Since 1976 there are almost all semifinals and finals there. Nowadays what is not on You Tube,as if does not exist… See the World Championship in Poland …. On other hand OG London 2012, had been in this aspect perfect…
Moreover I miss commentators P. Sunderland and C. Lucas , who considerable improve and rise a quality of the volleyball broadcasting… Probably fans would appreciate to watch such matches, at least from record/ repetition, with their expert comments..
