Dinamo Romprest BUCURESTI of Romania won against Galatasaray Daikin ISTANBUL 3:2 in the Champions League. Galatasaray started Eleonora Lo Bianco, Simona Gioli, Neriman Özsoy, Rosir Calderon, Brizitka Molnar, Sinem Barut and Necla Güclü Espasa.

Galatasaray opted for its best starting six with Eleonora Lo Bianco, Simona Gioli, Neriman Özsoy, Rosir Calderon, Brizitka Molnar, Sinem Barut and libero Necla Güclü Espasa, but the score stayed very close in the early phases of the match, before the hosts accelerated right before the second technical time-out and wrapped it up at 25-21.
 
Dinamo Romprest responded with good play in the second set going up 6:3 but Galatasaray fought back drawing level at 10 all. The hosts even moved to the front (16:14) but eventually lost the set after a close final rush (23-25).

Galatasaray head coach Massimo Barbolini changed his starting six in set 3 with Molnar leaving the game, Gioli moved to play as outside hitter and middle blocker Nilay Konar also joining the action. Galatasaray went up 8:7 and 16:11 gradually widening the margin up to the final 25-18.

Dinamo impressed with a terrific 9:0 run in the fourth set and even though the hosts pulled together (11:16), still the set was gone (14-25) and a tie-break was to be played. There Dinamo opened strongly (8:5) and could bring it home at 15-10 to claim its first win in the group and cashing two valuable points for the standings of Pool C.
