“Last week, even though we lost at home, I think we played quite good. Rabita is a world-class team and I think they might make it to the final four. We were really close to win one set or do even more, so I think our performance last week was not too bad” stresses Atom Trefl wing spiker Anita Kwiatkowska.
The Polish champions have traveled to Azerbaijan and they made it to Baku already on Monday evening to play at “Sarhadchi Olympic Centre” their fourth game in the prelims of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League.
“This is already our second day here in Baku and everything goes fine” says head coach Jerzy Matlak. “We are just a bit sleepy as there is a difference of three hours between Sopot and Baku. We have had three training sessions in the sports hall and in the gym. This is an extremely important match in itself but we also want to use it to develop the right team work we need for our next matches in the domestic arena”.
Back from Azerbaijan, Atom Trefl will play already on Sunday Budowlani LODZ for the eighth leg of the national league sponsored by ORLEN.
