The current vice-champions of Superliga made the hiring of three former players official via their social media channels.
The veteran middle blocker Walewska Oliveira, the 2008 Beijing Olympics winner with Brazil national team, returns to the Uberlândia team after a season in Osasco Voleibol Clube/Audax. A 39-year-old player was involved in winning the first-ever and, so far, the last championship title of Praia – in the 2017/18.
The middle blocker Angélica Malinverno, 10 years younger than Walewska, is the next returnee to Praia. She came from BRB/Brasília Vôlei.
The third returnee in Praia is a 31-year-old setter Cláudia Silva “Claudinha”, competing for Osasco Voleibol Clube/Audax last season.
A few days earlier, Praia announced three more signings: the opposite hitter Monique Pavão (SESC RJ), outside hitter Priscila Daroit “Pri Daroit” (Fluminense F.C.), and young setter Vivian Lima (Fluminense F.C.).
