The 10-time German men’s volleyball champions Berlin Recycling Volleys were forced to make a change on the position of a setter.

After learning that their starting setter Sergey Grankin tore a muscle, a week ago, Berlin pulled their former member out of retirement. A 33-year-old Sebastian Kühner, who said goodbye to volleyball in 2019 after spending the last seven seasons of his career in the club from the German capital, is projected to compete with the Frenchman Pierre Pujol for a place in the lineup.

During his first stay at Berlin, Kühner won six Bundesliga titles, one national cup, and one CEV Cup.

FIVB, change the rule, please!

I agree with coach Kolakovic and the justifications he brings for changing this particular rule. I am convinced that most referees share his opinion too. Reply

Re: @Sorah
That is very stupid too, indeed. If we do a simple analysis we can find a lot of other very stupid things. Another one is uselessly continuing the set when the score difference is 10 points. Who has recovered from that? (I mean in the senior games, not in the underage games.)

Re: @Sorin Acela
The most stupid rule is each set has 25 points and teams only play serious game from point 15-16.
If sets had 15 or 11 points, they cared from first point, and didn't cause spectators to sleep. Reply
