by WoV

One of the best female volleyball liberos in the world, Monica De Gennaro, will stay in Italy’s Imoco Volley Conegliano for at least one more season.

A two-time FIVB World Championship Best Libero, De Gennaro, will play her ninth season in Imoco. A 34-year-old player, the Italy National Team member, has been at the Serie A side since 2013, collecting 312 games and being involved in all 13 trophies won in the history of the club – counting as many as four this season (Italian Championship, Cup, and Super Cup as well as the CEV Champions League) only.

‘Moki’ has become an essential part of the club coached by her husband  Daniele Santarelli, constantly offering performance on levels of absolute excellence.
