The Russia National Team turned around the match of the second day of the 2021 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League in the Rimini bubble (Italy) against Belgium in their favor.

Russia achieved a strong-willed victory over Belgium on Day 2 of the 2021 Women’s VNL. In the starting two sets, ‘Zbornaya’ could not cope with the leader of the Belgian team Britt Herbots (29 points in total) but after 0-2, they dominated the court: 3-2 (23-25, 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 15-8).

Nataliya Goncharova was Russia’s most prolific player in the attack with 24 points. Irina Koroleva made 6 blocks, just as Dominika Sobolska in Belgium.

The seriously rejuvenated national team of Serbia was a complete underdog before today’s match against Poland but it took care to deny all those predictions on the court. The ruling European and world champions came to a triumph in four sets and, at the same time, a premiere celebration in the VNL 2021: 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 25-16, 25-21).

The winners were carried to success by the debutant in the national team, Sara Carić, who scored 21 points. Jovana Kocić added 6 blocks. Magdalena Stysiak top-scored Poland with 15 points, including 4 aces.

Brazil beat the Dominican Republic in an easy-pace game to reach the second win in as many encounters to which they were led by Tandara Caixeta and Fernanda Rodrigues ‘Fê Garay’ (14 points apiece).
