Jastrzębski Węgiel has signed a one-year deal with Poland’s top middle blocker Norbert Huber. The 24-year-old expressed his desire to play for a strong team in the pre-Olympic season and achieve high goals.
Huber, who debuted in PlusLiga in 2017 with Cerrad Czarni Radom, has built an impressive career since his humble beginnings at SMS Brzozów. His top-notch performance on the court led to stints with PGE Skra Bełchatów and Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle, where he racked up 1195 points in 148 matches over six seasons.
In addition to his club success, Huber has represented Poland on the international stage since 2019. He was part of the team that secured a silver medal at the World Cup in Japan, a bronze at the Volleyball Nations League in Chicago, and a silver at the Volleyball Nations League in Rimini.
Adam Gorol, President of Jastrzębski Węgiel, hailed Huber as a tremendous addition to the team, praising his strong position in the league and his reputation as a top middle blocker in the national team.
