Michele Baranowicz officially signed with Cisterna Volley. Baranowicz was due to play for Bulgarian side Hebar Pazardzhik this season, but their financial difficulties appear to have paved the way for his return to Italy.
Baranowicz expressed enthusiasm about joining Cisterna Volley, a team he recognizes as having significant potential, which he observed both in their recent matches and in the pre-season.
Baranowicz emphasized the challenges ahead, noting the tough schedule and the need for immediate and intense training to build team cohesion. With nearly 400 Serie A matches under his belt, he returns to Latina, an environment familiar to him, albeit acknowledging the changes at the club and team levels since his last tenure.
Baranowicz’s impressive career includes a national team debut on May 18, 2011, in a match against France, and a significant achievement of winning the bronze medal at the Grand Champions Cup in 2013.
