Canadian opposite Kiera Van Ryk has announced her new team for the 2025/2026 season. The 26-year-old will join Shanghai Bright, marking her first experience playing in Asia.

After recent seasons in Turkey with THY and Vakifbank, Van Ryk’s future had been uncertain following limited appearances in the VNL and her absence from the World Championship in Thailand.
“I just arrived in Shanghai and I’m very excited for the season ahead and to compete for the title with my team,” Van Ryk shared on social media.
She joins Russian player Irina Voronkova as one of the two foreign players on the roster.
