Paris Volley confirmed a change on the bench, appointing Mauricio Motta Paes as head coach and ending its collaboration with Nikola Matijasevic by mutual agreement.

The club said Motta Paes, who previously played a important role in Paris Volley’s history and won four titles with the team, returns to Paris to lead the squad through the final phase of the season. Paris Volley indicated the immediate objectives include securing Ligue A status, potentially reaching the play-off, and continuing its run in the Coupe de France with the aim of reaching the final.
Matijasevic leaves after three seasons in charge. In the statement, Paris Volley credited him with helping lift the team from the lower end of the standings to playoff qualification in the 2023/24 campaign and highlighted the club’s progress in the Coupe de France this season, including a home semi-final opportunity against Chaumont. The club added that the separation was agreed in the interest of the team.
