Tijana Bošković’s highly anticipated transfer appears to be finalized! The Serbian volleyball star is set to leave Eczacıbaşı Istanbul after a decade and join rival club VakifBank Istanbul.
Speculation had linked Bošković to multiple Turkish and Italian teams, but the final battle came down to VakifBank and Zeren SK. A cryptic social media post from Zeren even hinted at her move, referencing her favorite dish—lentil soup.
Serbian, Italian and Turkish media confirmed her decision to join VakifBank. While contract details remain undisclosed, Bošković, the world’s highest-paid female volleyball player in 2023 (€1.45 million per season), is expected to land another massive deal. Meanwhile, Poland’s Magdalena Stysiak is set to replace her at Eczacıbaşı.
However, there is still no official confirmation, and until that moment, the conclusion of this transfer saga will remain shrouded in rumor.
