One month after the debut of Barkom Każany Lwów in the 2022–23 Polish Men’s Volleyball Championship, as the first foreign club to play in the competition, came their first win.
Barkom Każany Lwów made a sensation by beating PGE Skra Bełchatów in Round 7 of the 2022-23 PlusLiga. This is the first victory of the newcomers from Ukraine this season and the first-ever win of a foreign club in the Polish top flight (they are the first-ever foreign club to compete in Poland). The players of Latvian Uģis Krastiņš thus managed to finally prevail in the tie-break in PlusLiga on the fourth attempt. On the other hand, the nine-time Polish champions, Skra, are in crisis as they suffered their third defeat in a row.
Vasyl Tupchii top-scored for Barkom with 16 points. Serb Aleksandar Atanasijević tallied 30 for Skra, while Mateusz Bieniek made as many as 9 blocks.
