Savino Del Bene Volley has officially announced the addition of Serbian setter Maja Ognjenović to their roster for the upcoming sports season.
Ognjenović has spent the last two seasons playing for the Turkish powerhouse Eczacıbaşı. However, she will be making a return to Italy this season, where she has previously played for Jesi, Modena, and Piacenza.
Maja Ognjenović’s career has been remarkable. She began her professional journey in the 2002/2003 season, playing for Poštar in the top league of Serbia. She later joined Crvena Zvezda, winning her first national title with the team.
Throughout her career, Ognjenović has played for various teams across Europe. She has achieved significant success, including winning European trophies and league championships in countries like Romania, Italy, Poland, and Russia.
Ognjenović has also made notable contributions to the Serbian national team. Since her debut in 2005, she has been an integral part of the team’s success, including winning a bronze medal at the 2006 World Championship.
