The news from two months ago is now official – the most successful Brazilian women’s volleyball project on a club level, Sesc RJ (12 Superliga titles) is strengthened by the sports club with the largest crowd in the world, C. R. Flamengo.

It's now official: Sesc and Flamengo joined forces and formed one team for the next season, which will be called Sesc RJ Flamengo.

With the partnership, the most successful project in the history of volleyball in Brazil, led by the two-time Olympic Games winner as the head coach of the Brazil men’s National Team - Bernardo Rezende “Bernardinho” since 2004, will change the jersey colors. From now on, Sesc players will wear the black and red jersey by which the largest multi-sport club in the country with the biggest fan base in the world (30 – 35 million), Flamengo, is famous.

Sesc have 12 national titles on their account in women’s volleyball. As for Flamengo, they have three.

RUS M: Possible "transfer bomb" - Zenit St. Petersburg wants Wilfredo Leon!?

I don’t know. I like Perugia but Leon is not coming to his full potential. If has to play another year with Travica and/or Oleh then he can better leave the club. Aleksander is already leaving the club and that is horrible for SIR but yet again if he wants to play and live in Perugia than that’s it. But if he wants te achieve bigger thing Ian live with volleyball than he should leave. Reply
