In a balanced duel between the leaders and vice-leaders – probably the best match in the season so far in Brazil – of the 2020/21 Brazilian Women’s Volleyball Superliga Banco do Brasil regular season, Minas beat Praia in the final of the national cup (2021 Copa Brasil).

In the encounter that was held in Saquarema, Minas and Praia showed why they are the two best teams in the country at the moment: 3-2 (25-22, 27-29, 27-25, 24-26, 15-13) for the Belo Horizonte team, who won the cup for the second time (first time in 2019). American Danielle Cuttino top-scored Minas in the gold medal encounter with 23 points.
