The encounter was valid for Day 1 of the qualification tournament – Pool C, hosted by Jastrzębski. Moroccan Mohamed Al Hachdadi scored 19 points for the winning side. Pavel Audochanka tallied 13 points for Stroitel.

In Pool B, Croatia’s OK Ribola Kaštela didn’t provide COVID-19 test results so their match against Pool B hosts CSM Arcada Galați has been canceled and the Romanian side was awarded three points. The two other teams in this pool, Albania’s Erzeni Shijakut and Hungary’s Fino Kaposvár VC, will continue the competition.
