The joint request of the women’s clubs Dinamo Moscow and Allianz MTV Stuttgart to the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) bore fruit.

Russia’s Dinamo and Germany’s Stuttgart became members of the pool stage (4th Round) of the 2021 CEV Women’s Champions League and both will play in Pool D.

Such a decision was made as a result of the request these two clubs sent to the CEV and the fact that it’s impossible to hold the match of the 2nd Round of qualifications in Switzerland due to measures introduced by the Swiss authorities to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Initially, only the winner of Dinamo vs Stuttgart was to compete in Pool D. Given that Finland’s LP Salo withdrew, two vacancies have appeared in the pool. This way, all places in the pool stage are filled (draw + four teams from qualifications).

The composition of pools:

POOL A: Unet e-work Busto (ITA), Developres SkyRes (POL), SSC Palmberg Schwerin (GER), Savino Del Bene Scandicci (ITA) /winners from 2nd Round/

POOL B: A. Carraro Imoco (ITA), VB Nantes (FRA), Fenerbahçe Opet İstanbul (TUR), Uralochka-NTMK (RUS)

POOL C: VakıfBank İstanbul (TUR), ASPTT Mulhouse VB (FRA), VC Maritza Plovdiv (BUL), ŁKS Commercecon ŁÓDŹ (POL) /winners from 2nd Round/

POOL D: Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul (TUR), Lokomotiv Kaliningrad (RUS), Allianz MTV Stuttgart (FIN) /2nd Round/, Dinamo Moscow (RUS) /2nd Round/

POOL E: Dinamo Ak-Bars Kazan (RUS), Grupa Azoty Chemik Police (POL), VK UP Olomouc (CZE), Igor Gorgonzola Novara (ITA)
