Here is the official statement of the FIVB regarding the situation that happened during the game Serbia – Thailand.
“The FIVB is currently reviewing the match footage of an alleged incident during the match between Serbia and Thailand. If there is deemed to be a violation of the FIVB disciplinary regulations, the FIVB will submit the case to the disciplinary panel sub-committee. The FIVB is committed to fostering understanding, solidarity and unity against all forms of discriminatory behavior. The FIVB will continue to work tirelessly, with all of its national federations to ensure that these values are reflected across the whole community,” announce FIVB.
Recall that a move from a Serbian player during the match was considered a racist gesture. The Serbian Federation also announced an official statement.
