Allianz MTV Stuttgart has announced the new arrival for the season 2019/2020.

The Turkish player Cansu Aydinogullari has signed a one-year contract with the German team.

Everything went very fast for Stuttgart. It has only been a week since the German team announced that Kathleen Weis won’t be playing for this team in the next season.

Cansu Aydinogullari will join the team as quickly as possible.

"We are lucky to have Cansu in the team! She is a strong player with a lot of experience! We are pleased that she has decided for Stuttgart and we assume that together with Pia Kästner she will form a great duo on the setter’s position. We will do everything we can to welcome them here in the hall as soon as possible," says Kim Renkema the sports director.

WC 2019 W: Brazil beat weakened team of Serbia in thriller, China win Asian derby

Because the VNL consists of teams that have been invited by the FIVB, rather than have truly qualified for it based on competitive criteria. These teams (e.g. Belgium & Slovenia with the men) would unjustifiedly lose a lot of points on the ranking because they didn't pay the FIVB enough to participate. on the other hand weak teams like South Korea would see their ranking go up just purely by participating.

In its current format the VNL is nothing but a worthless demonstration tournament of friendly games... :-(

The results of the VNLs don't give the participating national teams any points for the FIVB rankings. Does anybody or WorldofVolley has any idea, why? Reply
