After the long break since the end of the 2019/20 season, the German Cup winners, Dresdner SC, and a team that finished the last Bundesliga regular season at the top in the moment of its cancelation, SSC Palmberg Schwerin, faced each other for the national Super Cup (comdirect Supercup).

Dresdner were the hosts of the match that was held in front of around 700 spectators (in accordance with the safety measures) but suffered a defeat from Schwerin in straight sets, partially 25-23, 27-25, and 25-21. Thus, the team coached by Felix Koslowski won the fourth Super Cup in a row.

With a total of 15 points, the Schwerin outside hitter Lina Alsmeier was the top scorer of the match and was awarded MVP.

2020 comdirect Supercup, women:

SSC Palmberg Schwerin – Dresdner SC 3-0 (25-23, 27-25, 25-21)
