The sixth-placed side in the 2018/19 Italian Women’s Volleyball Championship, Èpiù Pomì Casalmaggiore, added two more players to the next season’s roster that, for now, has seven players.

Casalmaggiore presented two newcomers, more precisely a setter and outside hitter: Letizia Camera and Alessia Fiesoli.

For Camera, this is a return to Casalmaggiore after five seasons, and what a return it is – with the CEV Champions League gold medal in her pocket, which she won last month, and the Italian Cup Finals MVP award, both taken while she defended the colors of Igor Gorgonzola Novara.

As for Fiesoli, this is going to be her first experience in the Italian top division. She is coming to Casalmaggiore after nearly winning promotion to the top-flight with Delta Informatica Trentino.

Earlier, Casalmaggiore appointed Marco Gaspari as their head coach. He was actually appointed last season, too, but had to leave for Israel due to family reasons. Newcomers to the club are also middle blockers Federica Stufi (Igor Gorgonzola Novara) and Tiziana Veglia (Banca Valsabbina Millenium Brescia). Casalmaggiore renewed contracts with outside hitters, American Danielle Cuttino and Caterina Bosetti, as well as with libero Ilaria Spirito. The Polish middle blocker Agnieszka Kąkolewska will no longer wear the jersey of the club.
