Even the financially most stable and richest clubs in the world will be affected, and already are, by the crisis that came as a consequence of the coronavirus pandemic. One of those is Italy’s Lube, the reigning world and European champion.

The Civitanova side seems to found the formula to manage to retain a good portion of the roster from the last season. In accordance with the agreement with most of the stars of the team, Lube decided to reduce their salaries by 25% – 30%. Allegedly, the key players such as Juantorena and Leal, in addition to Jiri Kovář, have already accepted the reduction.

Recall that the Brazilian giants Cruzeiro were forced to impose even bigger salary cut, while their big rivals in the national championship were forced to dismiss the entire squad.
