Imoco Volley Conegliano clinched the 2020 Italian women’s volleyball Super Cup, which was their third consecutive (fourth overall) trophy in the competition.

The reigning club world champions and Italian titleholders, Imoco, dominated the final of the 2020 Supercoppa Italiana, which was moved from the Vicenza main square to the city sports hall.

Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio simply had no strength to endure the high pace of the game set by the Conegliano side given they had to complete the semifinal against Igor Gorgonzola Novara in the morning (won by a 3-1). That’s because a duel was suspended yesterday night due to unfavorable weather conditions.

American McKenzie Adams and Paola Egonu led Imoco’s scorers with 12 points apiece. The middle blocker of the winning side, Raphaela Folie, was awarded the title of the MVP of the final.

2020 Supercoppa Italiana, final:

Imoco Volley Conegliano - Unet E-Work Busto Arsizio 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-15)

CHN M: Chinese federation gives in to pressure, male foreigners will play Super League

Great news on the Men's Super League. The Women's you referred to in the news is actually not the same with the Super League though. It is a separate tournament roughly called National Championships where the provincial teams compete for the top honour. Women's Super League won't start until much later. If foreign players are allowed in Men's tournament, then it only.makes sense the same would apply to the women's. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed! Reply
