The world volleyball icon Costagrande, who retired two years ago, was tested positive for COVID-19. The 39-year-old Argentina-Italian player spent a few days in her home town El Trébol and learned to have a virus when she was about to fly back to Italy where she resides.

The MVP of the 2011 FIVB World Cup, which she won with the “Azzurre”, will now have to undergo mandatory isolation at her home in the town that has only 16,000 inhabitants and a single-digit number of coronavirus cases for now.
