Simone Anzani has been confirmed as the new player of Modena for the upcoming 2024/2025 season. Anzani returns to the yellow and blue team after a successful stint in 2018-2019 when he helped secure the Italian Super Cup—the last one won by Modena. Anzani, a world champion, played a key role in Italy’s 2022 World Championship victory in Poland. His national team accolades also include a European Championship gold in 2021 and a bronze in 2015. The 204 cm tall middle blocker moves from Lube Civitanova, where he spent four seasons, winning two Italian Championships and two Italian Cups.
