The new head coach of Russia Women, Italian Sergio Busato, delivered great news for the volleyball fans in the country – he will call superstar Tatyana Kosheleva to train with the national team for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, RIA Novosti reported.

After missing out on the 2018 FIVB World Championship due to left knee injury, the 30-year-old outside hitter who is currently defending the colors of the Chinese side Guangdong did not play for Russia in 2019 at all. This means that, in case of accepting to join Russia Women preparations for the Summer Olympics next spring, Kosheleva will return to the national team after two years.

The Russian team needs her, badly. She used to be one of the top attackers in the league. Even Zhu Ting paid her a huge compliment saying she contacts the ball at such heights thus making it hard to block her.

@Cjango Kosheleva’s not the same girl in 2015 anymore. She’s past her prime.
