The Brazilian middle blocker finally went out of the bed where she was stuck after undergoing a left knee surgery earlier this summer.
The volleyball player has begun a new phase of her rehabilitation. She started to work on strengthening her muscles in the gym. Although the return to the court is still far, Thaísa has much more positive thoughts now compared to a couple of months ago.
“I have to be optimistic. This optimism needs to come from me because staying three months without doing anything is complicated. So far, so good. I gained weight. I’m working with the 75% of the body. I was not working out with the leg that was operated, but I started now. We have already evolved. The more things I do, the happier I am. It’s hard. It shakes the whole body, it hurts, but I feel much happier to be able to work,” the member of the Turkish club Eczacıbaşı VitrA İstanbul said.
The Brazilian and Eczacıbaşı fans pin their hopes on her physiotherapist and personal trainer, with whom she works, that they will be able to enable her to play as soon as possible.
Recall what Thaísa said on how she got injured and how Eczacıbaşı coaching staff reacted to it.
