Italy have taken the last ticket for the quarterfinals after they defeated Finland in straight sets.

Italy

The co-hosts of the tournament did not disappoint their fans in Busto Arsizio. Italy overpowered Finland and qualified for the quarterfinals of EuroVolley where they will face none other than mighty Russia! It will indeed be a volleyball spectacle.

Speaking about this game, Italy had the most problems in the third set where they were trailing by 21:20 and, at one moment, by 22:20… We wrote “at one moment” because head coach Gianlorenzo Blengini called for a challenge and the referees gave a point to Azzurri after reviewing the video check! Instead of 22:20 for Finland it was all tied at 21:21… Italy scored three more points in a row for 24:21!

Finally, everything was over after two service mistakes, one on each side for 25:22 and 3-0 in sets.
