JPN W: Hisamitsu officialize signing of Rio 2016 Best Middle Blocker Akinradewo

The Japanese Women’s Volleyball V-League runners-up Hisamitsu Springs officialized the signing of one of the best middle blockers in the world.

A 29-year-old U.S. National Team member Foluke Akinradewo is the new player of Hisamitsu where she will replace the Pole Maja Tokarska. Thus, the transfer of Akirandewo became official.

A two-time Olympian, one-time FIVB World Championship gold medalist and four-time FIVB World League winner arrived in Hisamitsu from the Swiss Volero Zürich.

Among major individual awards, the U.S. athlete was named MVP of the FIVB World League once, and Best Middle Blocker of the Olympic Games (Rio 2016), FIVB World Grand Prix and FIVB Club World Championship once each. She owns an enormous spiking reach for female volleyball players of 3.31m!
