Obras de San Juan signed three Cuban players of which one is a current member of the national team while two are former members: Jiménez and Camejo brothers!
The captain of the Cuban NT, the receiver Javier Jiménez, arrived in Obras from the Italian team Exprivia Molfetta, who gave up on playing Serie A1 next season. He is also known as the first Cuban player to go to play abroad under the new regulations of his national federation.
Two of three Camejo brothers have also joined Obras – Osmany, and Osmel. The oldest one, a 34-year-old middle blocker Osmany, has spent the last season in the Indonesian Surabaya Samator while the youngest one, a 27-year-old opposite Osmel, was a member of Al Ahli Bahrain in the 2016/17.
Recall that previously five Cuban players strengthened the clubs in Argentina this summer.
