PGE Skra Bełchatów held a special press conference devoted to the surprising departure of Miguel Falasca from the Polish club.

Besides the Spanish coach, the President of Skra, Konrad Piechocki, was also present. He stressed out that the years in which Falasca led the team were very fruitful period in the history of Skra.

“I wish to emphasize that I accept the decision of the President Piechocki, but of course, I do not agree with it. I had the strength and motivation to continue to work and fight to win PlusLiga. I never give up, it’s not my style. We have managed to reach an agreement on the termination of the contract,” Falasca said.

“In the past three years we won PlusLiga, Polish Cup and Super Cup. We also reached the Final Four of the Champions League for the first time. I will not give my version of events to the media out of respect for the team. It is not yet the right time. I believe that this team will successfully end the season. It will also be my victory. I am grateful for all the support and I wish the best to Skra,” Falasca added.

If he doesn’t want to speek about the team, it means that the problems were not between him and Falsca but between the players inside the team. The one who was a ‘collateral damage’ and had to leave is the coach. Full respect for your decision Miguel
