WL 2016, LIVE from Krakow: Hosts are down! Serbia advance to semis with block & serve play

Serbia did not fall into Poland’s trap, as France National Team did last night, and maintained 2-0 lead in sets to down the hosts by 3-1 (25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 25-18) in the 2nd round of the 2016 FIVB World League Final 6 in Kraków!

Althought Poland started to recover, just like against France, and reduced Serbia’s lead in sets, Serbia’s block (14-10) and serve (10-4 in aces) play was unstoppable.

Thus, Serbia have maximum three points with one match played in Pool K and already secured semifinal. Poland remained at two points and will have to cheer for Serbia against France, tomorrow, in order to advance to the semis.

Top scorers: PolandDawid Konarski 14 pts, SerbiaMarko Ivović 18 pts.
