According to rsport.ru, two sides are still negotiating and player’s manager confirmed that Toniutti might leave Ravenna and sign for Zenit.
“The contract between Benjamin Toniutti and Zenit has not been signed yet, but two parties are close to an agreement. It is likely that he will continue career in Kazan” said Dmitry Rezvanov, player’s agent.
So, Zenit decided to fill the place of a foreign player with a setter! It is not a surprise if we look at previous seasons in which Russian club had some of the volleyball stars at that position.
