USA vs. Mexico

USA defeated Mexico in straight sets, but it was not easy as it seems. Especially in the opening set in which Mexico had the lead 20:18. Still, the Americans managed to tie the score at 20:20, and then to collect two points in a row from 23:23 to 25:23.

On one side, the USA team gained so much confidence by winning that first set, while on the other Mexico lost the concentration, so the following two sets were completely one-sided. The USA seized another win and they are now waiting for the official draw to see who are they going to play against in the quarterfinals.

*The first ranked teams of both pools will play against the fourth ranked teams of the other pool. The second ranked teams will face the second or third ranked teams of the other pool, determined by drawing of lots. The drawing of lots will be held after the last match in the preliminary round.
