In a thrilling finale to the 2023 A1 CEV EuroBeachVolley Championship, Nina Brunner and Tanja Hüberli emerged as the dominant force, clinching the gold medal with a straight-set victory over Spanish rivals Tania Moreno and Daniela Álvarez.

The championship match was held at the packed Red Bull Beach Arena at the Danube Island, where the Swiss duo showcased their exceptional skills. With scores of 21-12 and 21-13, they left no room for their opponents, controlling the game from the start and securing their place as European continental champions.

The Germans, Laura Ludwig and Louisa Lippmann, who came in third, had a nail-biting bronze medal match against Joana Mäder and Anouk Vergé-Dépré of Switzerland. It was a tough tie-breaker, but Ludwig and Lippmann pulled through, defeating their Swiss opponents 21-14, 18-21, 15-11, to secure the bronze.
