Mol and Sørum Triumph Over Olympic Champs in Saquarema

Reigning champions Anders Mol and Christian Sørum launched their 2025 Beach Pro Tour campaign in spectacular fashion, clinching gold at the Elite event in Saquarema, Brazil. The Norwegian duo overpowered Swedish Olympic champions David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig in straight sets, 2-0 (21-18, 21-15), in Sunday’s final.
Sørum expressed excitement post-match: “It’s pretty cool to start the season with a win. We worked hard in the offseason and are thrilled it paid off.”
In the bronze match, Dutch Olympians Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot defeated Brazilian duo Pedro Oliveira and Renato Lima, 2-0, to round out the podium.
Next up: The Beach Pro Tour heads to Brasília, Brazil, for the third Elite stop of the season, April 16–20.
