Suntory finished close behind with a 36-8 record, capping their campaign with two straight-set victories against VC Nagano Tridents. Their strong finish extended a sizzling 16-match winning streak.
The playoffs begin Friday with quarterfinal showdowns featuring Wolfdogs Nagoya vs. Hiroshima Thunders and JTEKT Stings Aichi vs. Tokyo Great Bears.
