Crete to Host Nations Cup Beach Volleyball at TUI Magic Life Candia Maris, May 16–18
For the first time, Crete is preparing to welcome the international beach volleyball community, as the Nations Cup Beach Volleyball lands at the TUI Magic Life Candia Maris resort from May 16 to 18. This top-tier event is organized under the auspices of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and the Hellenic Volleyball Federation, with support from the Region of Crete, Municipality of Malevizi, and Metaxa Hospitality Group.
Unlike traditional beach volleyball duos, the Nations Cup introduces a team-based competition, where countries are represented by two pairs of athletes. Competing nations include the Netherlands, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland, Estonia, and host country Greece.
The venue, located just outside Heraklion, is a luxury beachfront resort operated by Metaxa Hospitality Group, a trailblazer in sports tourism celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
