CSV W: Women qualification Argentina defeated Chile 3-0

In the second date of the South American Women Olympic Qualification Championship the team coached by Horario Bastit showed a great come and still has chances of going on to the next round playing semi-finals. The light blue — white jersey team overcame Chile 3-0 (25-11, 25-6, 25-9) and will decide its faith against Peru this Friday evening. Peru stands on the top of Pool B.

Only two players scored over 9 points and both were of the Argentine Seniors: Yamila Nizetich and Luisina Yaccuzzi, both with 10 points. For Chile, Catalina Melo was the best scorer with 9 points.

Peru, in the first match of the day, overcame Venezuela 3-1 but the pool is still open for Argentina and the matches in the last day will decide which two teams go on to the second round.

 

In Pool A, Brazil already confirmed its place for semi-finals defeating Colombia 3-0. Colombia and Uruguay will play on Friday for the second place among the best four teams of the competition.
