Brazilian volleyball prospect, Ana Cristina de Souza, recently shared an update on her recovery since her right knee surgery on June 21st.
She expressed, “Physiotherapy is progressing well, and I’m now in the second phase where I can walk without crutches and engage in mobility and muscle strengthening exercises.”
The young outside hitter sustained her injury in Brasília just before the Volleyball Nations League (VNL).
In her message, Souza extended her gratitude to the medical team in Belo Horizonte, the rehabilitation specialists in São Caetano do Sul, and others who have supported her. Specifically thanking Dr. Rodrigo Vaz for his surgical expertise, physiotherapist Silvio Folco’s team for their dedication, and the CBV for their unwavering support. She concluded with a hopeful note on her progress, emphasizing patience and perseverance.
