The U.S. National Team receiver Sander complemented already powerful roster of Italian Men’s volleyball title holders Lube. And he does not hide the thrill of joining them.
“I’m excited to be part of that club. It’s a great team. I can’t wait to go and help in any way I can,” Sander said for our website.
As for the experience in China last season, the American athlete stated he was satisfied with it despite the fact his team Beijing did not reach the trophy in the championship.
“It was good. I enjoyed it. It was a great team. It was fun to play in the finals. Shanghai was a really great team and, overall, I liked my experience there,” he added.
The U.S. NT suffered all three defeats in the Week 1 of the 2017 FIVB World League…
“We got to keep learning. We have a lot of young guys, we’re still trying to figure things out but we keep battling and we just want to keep getting better. The Olympics are in four years and we got a lot of young guys that we’re going to keep getting better for us. I’m excited. It’s a young group and we just have to work hard to be good,” Sander concluded.

His jump…incredible
Problem: What will the starting seven of Lube be?
As far as I know it will be:
Setter: Micah Christenson (USA)
Opposite: Tsvetan Sokolov (BUL)
Middle-blockers: Dragan Stankovic (SRB), Davide Candarello (ITA)
Receivers: Osmany Juantorena (ITA), Jiri Kovar (ITA)/ Taylor Sander (USA)
Libero: Jennia Gebrennikov (FRA)
The problem here is that there must minimal 3 Italian players on the field all the time and with Sander in it it won’t work except if they change another player for another Italian but then Lube will never be able to act at full strengt. Am I missing something here?
