This result is not fitting into Zenit’s plans so, after the game of the third round, they will be heading home. We will get the new Club World Champion.
Fakel made a big result today, especially because they were trailing by 2-0, losing the first two sets after a very long battle in each of them. The Russian side had to win the third set and to stay in the race and they managed to make it somehow, taking this part of the game 30-28.
It gave them a confidence boost so they pushed even harder in the fourth to force the tie-break! After another uncertain set, Egor Kliuka knocked down the ball to give a huge reason for a celebration.
Kliuka was also the best scorer with 28 points, while his teammates Dmitry Volkov added 20 and Artur Udrys 19. In Skra, Milad Ebadipour had 22 points, Mariusz Wlazly ended the game with 18 points.
